BY-LAWS OF THE
 

UNITED MOTORCYCLE CLUB INTERNATIONAL
 

Article I
This club shall be known as the United Motorcycle Club International (U.M.C.I.). The Club insignia shall be as illustrated in Article VIII of the Constitution. This club insignia shall serve to identify one club member to another while traveling or attending events and shall not be lent, given or sold to any non-member for any purpose, public or private.

Article II
Section 1 - Purpose
The U.M.C.I. will be the instrument for uniting individual States and Provinces on an International level.

Section 2 - Members & Membership
Members are individuals "State" or "Provincial" U.MC.I. clubs. The U.M.C.I. Rep will accept any individual "State" or "Provincial" U.M.C.I. club that submits a signed membership application accepting the State/Provincial UM.C.I. Constitution and By-laws, and the U.M.C.I. Constitution and By-laws. The U.M.C.1. Rep will then issue that State or Province a membership card.

Article III
Section 1 - Officers

The U.M.C.I. will consist of an International Rep and a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors will be the State and Provincial Reps of the States and Provinces that are members of tile U.MC.L Each State and Province will be ,allowed one board member.

 

Section 2

Each State and Provincial Rep and International Rep will be allowed one written and signed vote in club matters. It may be mailed or hand delivered.

Section 3
The International Rep will provide a list of current Board members to each member of the Board.
 
 Artide IV
Section 1 - Money and Expenses

There shall be no established annual dues or fees for membership. The expenses of operation for the chub will be paid by voluntary membership donations.

All U.M.C.I. monies will be deposited in a non-interest bearing bank account under the club name and must be in the International Rep's name. lfa two-signature check is used, one of tiiose signatures must be the Rep's name. The International Rep or duly appointed Rep is authorized to receive donations, pay club expenses, or handle financial matters in any manner within the confines of tile Constitution and By-laws.

The U.M.C.I. Club shall be supported by donations from the State and Provincial clubs. The U.M.C.L Rep will be reimbursed for supplies, postage and phone calls and will not be reimbursed for travel, lodging and or personal expenses.

No State/Provincial or International Rep may obligate or encumber the club to any indebtedness.

Article
Section 1- U.M.C.I. Rep
Only duties are to coordinate information and events at the International level and be a correspondence point for the club at the International level. Authority will only come by majority vote of State and Prodnc al Reps within the limits oftbe Constitutions and its By-laws. The International Rep may be replaced or removed by a majority vote of the State and Provincial Reps. The International Rep may choose his or her successor with the approval of a majority of the State and Provincial Reps.

Article VI
Any State or Province that wants a list of their activities and events circulated Internationally, must have that information to the International Rep by Feb. 28th of each year. The International Rep will have this material printed and distribution ready by March 31st of each year. Each State or Province will be responsible to supply sufficient funds to cover the cost of printing, postage and handling.

Article VII
Notice of alteration or changes in the Constitution or By-laws shall be published in the newsletters at least sixty (60) days prior to a vote. All votes on the above shall be by written ballot.

 

 


 

 

Constitution of
United Motorcycle Club International

 

Article I
This club shall be known as the UNITED MOTORCYCLE CLUB INTERNATIONAL
(U.M.C.I.) The Club insignia shall be as illustrated in Article VIII of the Constitution. This Club
insignia shall serve to identify one club member to another while traveling or attending events
and shall be lent to no other purpose, public or private.

Article II
Members of the U.M.C.I. shall be individual State and Provincial Clubs.

Article III
The Club is basically of a correspondence nature with no club house, or other formal organization
as a locality club would have. The clubs purpose is making friends and meeting with
old ones.

Article IV
There shall be no dues of fees for membership in the U.M.C.I. as an International endeavor.
Members having reached the age of reason are considered to be self-sufficient, seld-determining.
Each member shall have equal rights and responsibilities in club matters. Tere shall be officers
at two levels: International and State/Provincial Representatives. These Reps will volunteer
their services.

Article V
The club neither promates, endorses or opposes any cause, excluding safty and image and shall
affiliate with no other organization, except its membership clubs.

Article VI
Until such time as the membership shall determine otherwise, general correspondence in club
matters shall be addressed to the current International Rep of the U.M.C.I.

Article VII
This Constitution and its contained By-Laws may be changed or modified only by adding
to, deleting from, rewriting or amending by 2/3 majority vote of the club's active voting
member ballots cast. Any alterations must be documented in writing and made known to
the gernal membership.


 

 

 

Article VIII
The upper portion of the chief is a filed of white with
"UNITED MOTORCYCLE CLUB" in black letters. the lower portion of the chief is a filed of gold on a blue background and the letters U.M.C.I. in black
signafying UNITED MOTORCYCLE CLUB INTERNATIONAL. The dexter flank being a sunrise with silhouettes of two motorcylist denoting the sunrise of a new day. The sinster flank being the words "Ride Beside Me, Be My Friend" in white letters on a black field, representing the phrase "Don't walk in front of me, I might not follow, Don't walk behind me, we might not meet. Walk beside me, be my friend."
The base point is white with "OVER 40" in black.
